We had a belated birthday celebration which was lovely as it was the first evening and we were all just discovering the magic of Daisy Chain. It is the non essential items that single out Daisy Chain as a holiday home from home. The children’s toys and the canoe accessories were great to use. There is even a box of essentials that you might have forgotten to bring. It is these kinds of details that make all the difference. On the ground floor is an ensuite bedroom, a single bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom.
On the first floor there is a wonderful double height living area and a very well equipped kitchen. There is also a bedroom with bunk beds. The crockery is very good quality and a joy to use. There is an under counter refrigerator but worry not that it is too small for a large group because there is another fridge on the ground floor. The dining area has plenty of room for everyone and there is lots of provision for small children. A joy to sit round the table together. The top floor has a comfortable large bed Tv and en suite perfect for the grandparents so you can escape from the family melee.
The walls have lots of very beautiful art works to enjoy.
The balcony leading from the living area is also a joy to use as the views are stunning with lots of wild life to see and also people using the lake for recreation.
The outside space on the ground floor is also a delight with closeup views of the reeds and the wildlife. It was filled with oxeye daisies while we were there which was lovely.
There are swimming pools both outside and indoors and playgrounds and places to hire water craft and bicycles etc which were enjoyed by everyone. There are lots of lovely walking trails. Our lasting memory will be of when our four year old became confident with swimming and she jumped off a paddle board into the lake on her own.
I can say quite categorically that all members of our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we all know that teenagers in particular can be hard to please! So thank you Naomi and Derek for your vision in putting this beautiful holiday house together. May 2026

A great place for a family stay. Daisy Chain is a lovely, well equipped, comfortable house in a beautiful setting, with lots to do in walking distance. It is very well equipped with everything you might need. Beautiful setting, right on the lake. Great to have use of a canoe to make the most of the lake too. Very peaceful. Loads of stuff for children to do on site – whatever the weather. We swam in both pools, canoed and walked. We enjoyed all the board games and had a fun family games evening. I and my family thoroughly enjoyed our Easter break in Daisy Chain. This was our second visit and we were not disappointed! The house is well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Naomi and Derek have thought of everything! It has glorious views of the lake and it is a treat to sit and watch the wildlife. There is plenty to do on site and the grandchildren loved the pools indoor and outdoor and the fun adventure playgrounds. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant although the service was rather slow. There is so much to enjoy for all ages that we will hopefully return before too long. April 2026

If you’re thinking about booking a stay at Daisy Chain, book it! You won’t regret it. Our stay was just perfect, from start to finish. The view is something I will really miss; whatever the weather, it is spectacular. The setting is tranquil and relaxed, whilst having a great amount of amenities on your doorstep. Our two little ones (aged 3, and 10 months) were fully catered for at Daisy Chain, meaning much less packing for us! The toy cupboard has everything you could ever need, from high chairs and travel cots, right down to bath toys. The kids bits are also discreet and tucked away downstairs, so if travelling without children, you wouldn’t even know all those items were there. For us, it was the perfect balance between a family friendly staycation, and a relaxing spot for adults; something that I think is very hard to find. We’re looking forward to returning! April 2026

A really beautiful and thoughtful house. It had everything and more we could have asked for. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the space and light. The site was well kept and we enjoyed the swimming and sports courts. We loved the peace and quiet the site provided. We chose Daisy Chain for our weekend away because of the Kids facilities and position on the water. The kids loooooooved the ducks coming up to the windows and saying hello. Daisy Chain is a great property and has a lovely location on the water. It is well equipped and so many things to do, especially for kids on the estate. This has been our second stay at Daisy Chain and this time we brought the grandparents too! The house is so well-equipped which makes for a really relaxing stay.
Pennycress cafe and walk down the Bow Wow in the sun was lovely. We had a real ‘treat’ date night at the Crown at Ampney Brook – not cheap but an excellent experience and food. We highly recommend a visit to Knead bakery for yummy cakes. Roots and Seeds at Cirencester is a firm favourite of ours too.
We had lovely daily swims with the children at the spa too.

We love staying at Daisy Chain. Having visited before, we knew the house was well-stocked for our needs, particularly with young children. It’s the perfect break for us with two small toddlers and a large family. We stayed last year just as our family and this year we returned with grandparents too. The access to the spa and open air swimming pool makes it for us, along with the gorgeous view. Our little one learnt to swim all by herself and we watched her confidence grow day on day. March 2026

What a place!! Had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Daisy Chain on the Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswold Lakes and it was amazing..the pool was quiet enough to swim in due to the booking system, the walks around the estate were beautiful..there were activities for the kids to enjoy along the way..the parking was easy and house itself was plenty big enough for 5 adults and 3 kids. The house was well equipped and the view of the lake from back bedrooms and lounge were unbelievable. It was a lovely way to wake up. The only recommendation I would make is to do a grocery shop for just after you arrive as the small on-site shop is pricey and limited. March 2026

We celebrated a 70th birthday at the weekend and had a wonderful stay. All the rooms were a good size and at no point did it feel as though there were 10 (9 and a baby) in the house! It was so perfect for a three generational break and the kids really enjoyed the toys and games. The morning skies were stunning!

We also made great use of the nearby spa pool, which was wonderfully warm and ideal for swimming. Our grandchildren enjoyed the soft play area. We catered for ourselves so didn’t use any local pubs or restaurants, but the very well equipped kitchen made that easy. The weather was very wet, but that didn’t stop us walking and the children particularly liked the puddles.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Daisy Chain to others. We hope to return in the future!

We spent an amazing 4 days at Daisy Chain over Christmas. The place is filled with such positive vibes. A home away from home for sure. Snuggling little ones by the wood burner. Joking and playing games with family. Putting your feet up with a glass of wine. This is the break we needed after a chaotic few months. 
That lake view is simply stunning. Seeing the ripples of the water, the occasional ducks. There is something magical about it all. We would love to come back again over the summer to experience it all over again. Everything we could ever need was provided for. Christmas 2025

We had a fantastic stay at Daisy Chain over the weekend, celebrating a 70th Birthday. It felt really homely from the moment we arrived, and it was perfect for our family group of nine plus a baby — there was plenty of space for everyone. The house was spotless, and the facilities were excellent. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, and the toys and games provided were a huge hit with the kids.

We also made great use of the nearby spa pool, which was wonderfully warm and ideal for swimming. For meals out, we visited The Bakers Arms and the Ballihoo Restaurant — both served delicious food with excellent service.

We cannot believe how much thought you have put into the property to make family stays so lovely, everything was covered, we could not have asked for anything else to be provided.  The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we all had a wonderful time. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely holiday house! It was spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed. We have never been to such a well equipped house!  The highlight was the stunning view over the lake – peaceful and absolutely beautiful at any time of day.  We really enjoyed spending time on the balcony, borrowing the canoe and playing table tennis. The digital guidebook was wonderful and made it easy to identify any required information.  We went to the Bakers Arms and had a lovely meal, we would happily recommend this to other guests.

We had a great stay at Daisy Chain, knowing that the house had all we needed to travel with our new born & toddler it took pressure off packing and whether everything would fit in the car. The online guide created by Naomi and Derek was really helpful at planning our days while we were away. The trip was enjoyed by all, grandparents & younger children. Location was perfect.  The sunrises over the lake were a highlight and close vicinity to Cirencester and many other local attractions. We had a lovely meal at the Bakers Arms and enjoyed pizza from the on site restaurant. We would love to return one day the experience more of the activities on offer for older children.  October 2025

Sometimes coming back to the same holiday location can be a disappointment, but definitely not so at Daisy Chain.
We totally agree that Derek and Naomi could not offer anything more in this beautiful house.
We have canoed, paddle boarded and swum indoors and outside, used the gym and eaten at Ballihoo restaurant.  We loved the Motor Museum at Bourton-on-the-Water as well as the Dragonfly maze and we had a wonderful time at Westonbirt Arboretum.  
I am sure we will be back.

We have had a truly relaxing, wonderful time staying at Daisy Chain.  It was a surprise 60th treat from our children for my husband’s birthday.  We have loved sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise and seeing the families of ducks waddling down to the water.  The view of the lake is just beautiful.  We’ve been out on the lake and enjoyed some amazing walks in and around the Lower Mill Estate.  We also sampled the local pub restaurants. 
Derek and Naomi, you have thought of everything at Daisy Chain and the attention to detail was very much appreciated by us all.  We have loved staying here and it has been a very welcoming chilled break.  We cannot believe that we haven’t been here before when we only live an hour away.  We will definitely be back to explore the area again in the future.

We have just enjoyed another fabulous week staying in Daisy Chain and would recommend it to anybody. It is so well equipped. Our party included an 18 month old and eight year old twins. The accommodation is so clean and bright with an amazing view over the lake that just brings a smile to your face. The ducks were very entertaining to watch. The family made good use of the Spa and also the outdoor pool at Mill Village. The tennis went down well along with numerous canoe trips (canoe provided). This year there was even some fishing from the canoe and one of us went for a swim in the lake. We visited Westonbirt Arboretum, Newark Park NT and popped into Cirencester but it was always a nice feeling getting back to Lower Mill and returning to Daisy Chain. There really would be no need to leave the site at all as there is so much to do. I am hoping we will be able to fit in another family visit to Derek and Naomi’s amazing property in the future.  July 2025

We have recently returned from the perfect family weekend at Daisy Chain. There were 9 of us spanning 3 generations (aged 4 to 70). We needed somewhere central for us to gather for family celebrations traveling from 3 different location and we couldn’t have found a more appropriate or perfect place. It was so peaceful at Daisy Chain, with beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding nature and wildlife brought a calming atmosphere. The house is very well maintained and well equipped, we just brought ourselves and some food and drinks to enjoy. The canoe is a brilliant addition for our lake adventures, and we loved exploring the grounds, and playing in the parks, tennis and having fun at the pools (both indoor and outdoor). We were a family party celebrating Grandad’s 70th birthday. Thanks for a fabulous weekend. The house was fantastic for a multi-generational group.   3 generations: 6 months to 70 years enjoyed the facilities both in the house and around the water park.  Not many houses can provide 2 cots and 2 high chairs!  The children were very well catered for – even down to having toddler spoons and forks.  The house is so well exuipped there was nothing we needed. The house is so peaceful and the views from the balcony are stunning. The ducks on the lawn were an added bonus for the little ones and the canoe was a hit!  June 2025

9 of us have had a wonderful week. 3 generations finding lots to do: swimming (pool in Mill Village the fave), cycling and scooting, boating, exploring, yoga, trampolining, adventure playground and soft play and enjoying the house.  We found everything that we needed.  We loved the wildlife, the ducks visiting and the blue-tailed damselflies! And tennis!

We went to the local Sculpture Park and Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Hidcote.

Our 7th visit to Daisy Chain as it truly is the perfect family getaway. You would think we would get bored of coming back but the estate offers a harmonious blend of relaxation and adventure. The views from Daisy Chain’s balcony take our breath away every time. The estate’s tranquil lakes and lush landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for all ages.

The leisure facilities are endless – 3G football pitches, spaces for rounders and cricket, tennis courts, playgrounds, trails, trampolines, table tennis and swimming pools. The boys had a blast in the natural swimming pool this year. Our sporty, energetic children’s only complaint every year is we don’t stay long enough.

We had a lovely stay at Daisy Chain. We found everything we needed to make it a relaxing stay with our children. You can’t beat the view over the lake too and it was very peaceful and quiet (when the children are asleep!)  We mostly ate at the house as the kitchen was so well equipped it was easier to.  We mainly stayed onsite but had one visit to the shops in Cirencester which was pretty.  Ballihoo restaurant was great and and very convenient.  It was nice to have access to the heated outdoor pool and a few different playgrounds.  May 2025

We had a family weekend away before the arrival of our grandchild.  We chose Daisy Chain because the location worked well for members of the family coming from different directions and the house itself was in a beautiful position. The best part about staying on the Lower Mill Estate was the location of the house with its wonderful view.  Daisy Chain is a beautiful holiday home. It is perfectly positioned beside a glorious lake and is very quiet. The most glorious week at Daisy Chain.  I can’t recommend it enough.  I’m going to miss swimming every day and the sauna and steam room.  Even our dog is going to miss the view.  We loved our stay.  It was just perfect and so well equipped for children. Great location and perfect property for our family gathering. We were staying for nothing other than having fun together as a family.  Daisy Chain lies approximately halfway between us in Plymouth and family members in Peterborough so shorter journeys for both.  We enjoyed being able to all stay together in same property surrounded with great scenery and all the wildlife. From old to very young there was something for all, even though the weather was not good the site provided things to do and if we stayed indoors there was sufficient space. We had a fantastic Betwixtmas/New Year stay at Daisy Chain with family and friends. The house was perfect for a mix of ages, and we loved sitting in the lounge looking out over the lake and watching the cormorant sunning himself on his log every day! We made good use of the spa, pool and gym and also enjoyed the wine tasting hut and restaurant at Ballihoo. The walks around the lakes are perfect with the dogs. We will definitely be looking to come back to Lower Mill and Daisy Chain again sometime soon! January 2025

We were looking for a comfortable home big enough for 3 generations to celebrate the Christmas week. With Daisy Chain, we found it! Lovely location, quiet, with great amenities – enjoyed the heated outdoor pool on Xmas eve! Great walks around the lakes that Max our dog really appreciated. The house is beautifully appointed with a good sized and very well equipped open plan kitchen / dining room / living room on the first floor overlooking the lake. As we “self catered” throughout, this allowed us all to participate in the cooking without feeling left out whilst the other family activities were going on. Talking of which, you will never be short of board games as the house is extremely well equipped with such things. Naomi promised that the house would be decorated for Christmas and indeed it was, with a full sized tree, amongst other garlands and decorations, so Santa was able to get down the lovely log burner and deliver for Christmas! What made our holiday was that this accommodation is clearly someone’s home, not just a company’s self-catering accommodation. From the bedding; Denby crockery; beautiful cushions with kingfishers; a love of the book: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse; a cupboard full of children’s toys and equipment; and enough books, games and jigsaws to keep a family happy for weeks and weeks. We were pretty lucky with the weather, in October, and just enjoyed sitting and looking out at the lake, especially if we were up early enough to watch the sunrise. We had a lovely week, thank you. We had a very happy and enjoyable time at Daisy Chain to celebrate an 80th birthday with family and friends. The house is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the canoe and as the weather was so warm, it was extremely pleasurable to be out on the lake. We also enjoyed walks around the area. This was our second stay at Daisy Chain and once again it did not disappoint. This is such a well-stocked accommodation with everything you could need for children and for cooking family meals (I couldn’t think of a utensil that wasn’t there!) – even down to the little touches of providing some toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, salt/pepper etc. so you don’t have to think of anything when you are there. The accommodation is kept clean and organised and has a wonderful view across the lake – we used their canoe a couple of times which made some lovely memories. The lake is teaming with wildlife so you could easily lose a couple of hours staring out at it. We also love the swimming pool on site – it’s nice and warm, facilities are clean and it feels like a true spa.
We went to Bourton-on-the Water and we loved the motor museum there. The boys also enjoyed their first sweet shop experience in the candy shop (the Harry Potter stand was a big hit for our HP fans!).
We also went to Ballihoo, the restaurant on site,  twice during our stay – the food and service was brilliant.

Daisy Chain was perfect for our family from 9 to 71 years old with two dogs. The accommodation was perfect for our needs with high quality equipment and linen. We all used the on-site facilities particularly the tennis court, multi- sports court, swimming pool and gym. The canoe was an extra bonus and we loved going out on the lake and seeing the wildlife: it was so peaceful. You would never have known you were on a site with hundreds of other people. A lovely week of celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with all our immediate family.  We enjoyed the water activities, pools and lake.  Badminton, table-tennis and tennis kept all age-groups happy and sophisticated board games focused minds.  Family groups prepared evening meals with international flavours.  We had one evening out at the Baker’s Arms and can highly recommend the food, the ambiance and the value.  To discover that they had Butcombe Ale on tap was an added pleasure.  Daisy Chain is such a lovely venue.  Thank you so much Derek and Naomi.  August 2024

This holiday home is perfect. Situated on a lake with beautiful views, the upside down house has everything a family would want or need to enjoy a relaxing break. Lower Mill is a fantastic location and the young people and I had plenty of occupation swimming, boating, playing tennis, nature walking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We never needed to leave the site but there is plenty to do locally if you wanted to. The let was well presented and the hosts had thought of everything. The site is set up to be as eco friendly as possible which we appreciated. Its not party central…that’s not what it is for but it is a wonderful place to stay.  July 2024

Nine of us stayed at Daisy Chain as a special holiday to celebrate a 60th Birthday and our group included 7 year old twins and a four month old baby. We all had a really fantastic time as the house was bright and spacious with such incredible views! Everything was perfect for a group of different ages and the kitchen was really well equipped . We made good use of the Canadian canoe, were able to catch fish from just outside the house and one of us was brave enough to swim in the lake. It was brilliant having access to water for canoeing and paddle boarding and to the spa for swimming. The weather didn’t get in the way of a brilliant time. We booked the Daisy Chain because of its child-friendliness and it did not disappoint. Our 3 year old loved the selection of toys and books (and the door stops!). The home itself has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Waking up to the sun streaming in over the lake was wonderful. We took advantage of the Mill Village outdoor pool (we were pleasantly surprised that it was actually properly heated) and the spa pools looked lovely too. It’s a great location for exploring the area. Naomi and Derek were great hosts – very responsive to questions before our visit and also whilst we were there. My family celebrated 2 big birthdays, a 70th and an 80th, over a long weekend and Daisy Chain was the perfect venue for us. The house is stunning; equipped with everything you could think of for a getaway and the views over the lake are beautiful. There are great facilities in the house and activities around the resort for guests of all ages – we found that every generation was catered for, from tiny tots to golden oldies. The spa is fab and the heated outdoor pool was a highlight, lovely temperature even in February, and the kids were thrilled with the playgrounds and the soft play area. We recently had the pleasure of staying at Daisy Chain for our holiday, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. First and foremost, the property was immaculate. Cleanliness is a top priority for us, and we were truly impressed by how well-maintained everything was. It immediately set a positive tone for our stay. The amenities at the property were also remarkable. Our kids had an absolute blast in the soft play area, and the football area provided hours of fun. As parents, it’s crucial to have activities for our little ones, and this property had it all. The fact that we could enjoy great coffee and pizza just added to the overall convenience. The highlight, however, had to be the stunning view from the property. We were captivated by the picturesque scenery, and the log-burning fire provided the perfect cozy ambiance to enjoy it. We spent countless evenings by the fire, making lasting memories. In short, we had an amazing time. It offered a perfect blend of comfort, fun, and relaxation. We had a lovely weekend staying at Daisy Chain to celebrate a family milestone birthday. The house is exceptionally well-equipped for adults and children, and has spectacular views across the lake. We stayed at Daisy Chain last weekend. We’re a group of seven school friends who are now in their fifties so needed somewhere to relax and catch up. The property is immaculate and very well equipped. Two of the crazier ladies had a nice swim in the lake right opposite the house but I preferred the lovely pools in the spa! Two of the bedrooms overlook the lake and the balcony has space for a group to sit together with Prosecco and watch the sun go down. I highly recommend it. 😀 September 2023

We had such a lovely stay at the house. We were very lucky to be able to stay for two weeks which really gave us all time to fully relax and enjoy our time at the Lower Mill Estate. There were 8 of us in total ranging from 8-72yrs and there was plenty to do for us all. Taking our own bikes allowed us to explore the estate fully and adventure into all the hidden wildlife areas the estate has to offer. The facilities on offer free of charge are fabulous: tennis, football, swimming and even a little fishing. The Ballihoo restaurant and pizzeria were a lovely touch for either an evening meal or just some evening drinks. The staff in particular at the Ballihoo were amazing as we have multiple food allergies and they catered for us all so well. The food was delicious. Locally there was so much to do and explore outside of the estate. Ghost tours at Bourton on the Water, archery, aquaventure and caving and climbing for the teenagers. A beautiful comfortable family home overlooking the lake. The owners had thought of everything we needed and more, very well equipped with toys, books and cupboards were even labelled so that everything went back into the right place. We all had fun in the Canadian Canoe, exploring the lake and islands. The grandchildren enjoyed feeding the ducks and swans. We all enjoyed the use of the swimming pools and a couple of our family even tried the cold natural pond….too cold for me. We booked the indoor soft play , great idea for the children to have sole use. Very useful coffee shop and restaurant within a few minutes walk. Very peaceful and beautiful place to stay, we all loved it. We enjoyed Sunday Lunch at the Crown at Ampney Brook only 18 minutes drive away.  June 2023

The house is in a lovely location overlooking the lake, with plenty of activities in the local area. It comfortably slept the 8 of us (with 1 bedroom unused), was pristine throughout, with well documented instructions. We’d thoroughly recommend to a large family or two smaller families to stay & would be happy to return ourselves! June 2023

Excellent holiday accommodation, with a stunning lakeside view, the house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Luxurious extras in the house included lovely linen on all beds and fluffy towels. On site extras like indoor & outdoor swimming pools were really good, spotlessly clean and not too crowded even in half term holiday. We were a party of nine with age ranges from 1 – 70 and we all had a great holiday. February 2023

Nine of us, three generations, had a really pleasant three night stay at Daisy Chain early in December 2022. The property is very well equipped, is nicely laid out and very comfortable. We used the indoor, on site, swimming pool on three occasions, some of us tested out the outdoor heated pool and tried out the owners canoe on Spinney lake. The Sunday morning snow pleased the family, spending an hour or so outside. The Christmas decorations added to the atmosphere along with the wood burner. Views from the first floor lounge, over the lake, are very impressive especially with the sun rising in the morning. We all enjoyed the weekend so much that we have already booked a week in May next year. December 2022

Wow, where do I start.  We have just come back from a long weekend celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday.  The age range was from 4 – 82 and it was the most amazing time for all of us. The accommodation is great, everything that you need has been provided including the luxury of a private canoe. The grandchildren aged 4 and 7 loved the toys and we all enjoyed the barbecue,  it was perfect.
The amenities at Lower Mill are fabulous too, the lakes, the amazing spa with indoor and outdoor pools, play areas and a fabulous on-site restaurant. We also hired the on-site bikes which were great. Everywhere we went the staff were super friendly and helpful. All in all we thoroughly recommend Daisy Chain for a visit. September 2022

This is a stunning location and the property really does make the most of the views and lake access (even providing a canoe/life jackets you can use during your stay). The accommodation itself is perfect for families – everything has been well considered for the ease & comfort of the guest. Our 2 and 4 year olds loved playing with all the toys they provided and reading the books on the well-stocked bookshelf. Even details like blackout blinds for the children’s windows have been thought of, which certainly helps when you are packing for little ones who seem to come with a lot of luggage! The estate facilities are excellent too – the outside and indoor pools feel luxurious. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely – plus the park is adjacent to the outdoor seating so it was ideal for the kids to play whilst waiting for the meal to arrive. The lake is teaming with wildlife so we happily sat on the balcony watching all the swans/geese/birds and the grass round the lake is carpeted with dragonflies.  Thank you for a wonderful stay.  June 2022

Daisy Chain is well equipped, light and airy with the most stunning view out over the lake. We stayed with our two daughters and sons in law and their small children. The accommodation was very comfortable with a lovely big living area. Naomi has thought of everything to make it easy and relaxed, and the site itself offers many facilities….the indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and eco pool being a highlight, although nothing could beat the evening sunset paddle on the lake….May 2022

We stayed at Daisy chain in mid May for my Dad’s birthday. It was a brilliant stay! The house is extremely well equipped – including children’s books and toys and extras such as a baby monitor / booster seat which was so helpful as we had 3 young kids with us. There were even birthday banners and bunting which we used for my Dad! The views are wonderful and we loved having a cup of tea and breakfast out on the balcony in the morning. And the Canadian canoe is amazing!! We went out every day, and in the evening too. So tranquil and we even saw swans with their signets close up. There were plenty of life jackets for us kindly left by the owners of Daisy Chain. We are a little chilly on the first night in the downstairs bedroom – but this was quickly fixed by the unbelievably easy thermostat dial. The site itself is fab, we particularly loved the swimming pool and booked 3 times!! My mum even ventured into the outside eco pool! The Ballihoo restaurant had lovely service and the Tipi was fun to have coffee under whilst the kids played on the play equipment. We played tennis too. We would definitely recommend this holiday home!! May 2022

We loved our stay at Daisy Chain.  It was our second stay & we hope to be back again! It was perfect for a family get together, especially with the living area so spacious. We enjoyed many family meals around the big table & couldn’t get enough of the view over the lake with its constantly changing light & birdlife – it was lovely to sit out in the sunny mornings with a coffee. The house had everything we needed: the kitchen was perfectly equipped, bedrooms all with plenty of space and storage and the 3 bathrooms meant no queuing! Daisy Chain is a fantastic holiday house. We had three generations staying together and had a wonderful time. The shared space, overlooking the lake, with wood burner and sofas, table, space and balcony meant that we could all be together whilst enjoying various activities. The canoe that comes with the house resulted in a few adventures on the lake which were just brilliant. Seeing the sun rise over the lake in the morning was truly stunning. The house is really well stocked to a high quality and some lovely touches like bbq, coffee machine, blackout blinds, children’s games and toys as well as some lovely adult books. We had a lovely holiday at Daisy Chain.  The house was excellent for 3 generations, one birthday & New Year!  We did all our own cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped for us all (6 adults, 3 children and a baby).  The birthday bunting and Christmas decorations were a plus. The Lower Mill Estate was beautiful.  We did several walks, took a picnic, cycled, canoed, watched the wildlife, used both the indoor and outdoor pools and the girls had a much deserved spa treatment! We have just enjoyed a lovely long weekend with children and grandchildren at Daisy Chain: three generations, plus grandchildren aged 9,6,2,and 1.  We were very lucky with the November weather and enjoyed canoeing on Spinney Lake, early morning outdoor swimming in the heated pool for adults and indoor swimming for the children. The walks around Lower Mill were ideal for the older ones with birdwatching opportunities. The playground areas were perfect for the little ones.  The house itself was outstanding – brilliantly equipped in all aspects – the children loved playing with new toys and reading different books. Not only was the scenery and location fabulous but the house catered magnificently for all our family needs ranging from a ten month old baby to teenagers, not forgetting the oldies. Just to say a big thank you for the use of your lovely house on Clearwater over the weekend. The location is stunning, enabling guests to sail by on a variety of aquatic equipment. We also took advantage of the swimming pool, tennis, table tennis and the cycling tracks.

We LOVED Daisy Chain! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. We really appreciated all that you have done to make your guests so welcome, providing way more than just the necessities. When we needed a tape measure……some gaffer tape……a couple of klippets…… a coffee scoop…. all was there.  You really have thought of everything and we felt blessed by your thoughtfulness and your generosity.

We were all impressed by the amount and quality of provision for children, and we loved being able to play your games, do one of your jigsaws and enjoy your books. I had my first ever canoe experience, and then wanted to be out on the water at every opportunity!

We had a fantastic two week stay at Daisy Chain. The accommodation worked really well for the three generations we had there, with plenty of space for all. Whilst the children played, the grown ups could appreciate the fantastic view from the living room. The canoe is a real bonus, with both of my children really loving it. Lower Mill Estate is a great place to spend time, with enough to keep the kids occupied and allow the grown ups some quiet time! August 2021

We spent an idyllic week at Daisy Chain with our daughter, son in law and 2 young grandchildren. We had such an amazing time, there was nothing that we didn’t absolutely love!

The house fitted our family so well, with our grandparent hideaway bedroom being perfect, especially with the young ones’ early mornings! The house is so well kitted out that we really didn’t need anything other than clothes. We had 2 supermarket deliveries whilst we were there which also made life easy.  We visited the spa, the outdoor pool, the playgrounds, the trampoline and football area, the tepee, the chickens and even had time to have dinner at Balihoo! We visited Cotswold Beach twice and spent a day at Cotswold Farm Park – such good days out! The grandchildren had the best time and fell exhausted into bed every night.

This really was the perfect break for us and we have all agreed that we will definitely we back!  June 2021

We spent a wonderful week at Daisy Chain soaking up the gorgeous lakeside view every morning and evening. You can never tire of the view as it continuously changes with the weather and wildlife. As the house has the added bonus of a canoe, a couple of us even zig-zagged our way across the lake when the sun came out.
Daisy Chain is deceivingly big, with high ceilings, which wasn’t obvious from the photos before we arrived. It is also the most well-equipped holiday home we’ve ever been to. As we have a 6 month old this is very much appreciated, as we only had to pack her clothes, everything else was there!
We hardly left Lower Mill Estate as there was so many excellent walks and facilities. When we did leave the estate we didn’t have to travel far to a good pub; picturesque village or more nature reserves.
All in all it was a great holiday, with something for all the family. From start to finish Naomi was an excellent host and we are already discussing when we can next visit.

We have had an amazing week near Cirencester staying in Daisy Chain on the Lower Mill Estate. The children have loved the pools, parks, cycle tracks, canoe and the toys available in the house. We have enjoyed relaxing and watching the children having fun again after a period of ‘lockdown’. The weather couldn’t have been better with sunshine most days. We spent most of our week on site enjoying the facilities available. We took a trip to the Cotswold Farm Park, which we loved and we stayed there until it closed. We also went for lunch at the local pub, The Bakers Arms, which had fantastic food and we were made to feel very welcome. Daisy Chain holiday home had everything we needed and more including lots of books and toys for the children, and also a canoe. The views over the lake were amazing especially at sunset. The children enjoyed trying out sleeping in all the rooms and each had a different favourite. We ate a couple of times at Ballihoo, the restaurant on site. It had a fantastic location next to the park and so we were able to sit and relax while the children played. Even the roads on site felt very safe for the kids to learn to cycle with very few cars and all driven at walking pace. We took the canoe out on the lake and it was quite an adventure for us as we haven’t been on one before. We cycled around the lake many times and it was a perfect distance (about 3km) for our young children to manage and enjoy. I would highly recommend this holiday home and hope to return again. We had a wonderful family holiday at Daisy Chain. The location is beautiful, with spectacular views over the lake. Lower Mill is a special place – there is so much to do, we didn’t end up going anywhere else. The house is perfect for a family, with everything you could possibly need for a toddler or young child, and just as comfortable for the adults. We’ve just returned from a lovely week here. The property is to a high standard and the view of the lake from the living area and balcony is breath taking. The house was well equipped and there was everything we needed for our toddler and plenty on site to keep the older children entertained, in fact we only left Lower Mill once. We enjoyed trying out the canoe on the lake, the beautiful bike rides and a few games of tennis as well as swimming at the pool which was easy to book. We will definitely be back and the children didn’t want to come home! August 2020

First guests since lockdown and it was just the relaxing break away from home, work and phone, video calls, remote schooling and electronics that the family needed!  Even with the Spa and pools closed, we didn’t stop – biking, tennis, canoe, kayaks and board games kept us busy together.  We also took all or meals other than a quick breakfast out as after almost 4 months of everything closed we enjoyed going out for lunch and dinner, sometimes on LME, other times on bike or car outside.  Our 13 and 15 year old boys loved the freedom out on the water.  No doubt we will come back again.  July 2020

We all came to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary.  Age range 5 years to 72 years.  We enjoyed our time at Daisy Chain.  Lots of beautiful walks especially the Miss Mouse adventure trail for the younger member of the family.  Stunning location – the best wake up call the ducks in the morning.  We will all be back – a great time had by all. We came to Daisy Chain for the celebration of an 80th birthday with family and then a series of friends from far and wide.  Everyone was impressed by the accommodation and the fantastic view over the lake.  It has been constantly fascinating watching the birdlife – the tern a particular favourite.  Having two young children here we have used the play park and swimming pool a great deal.  A visit to the Wildlife Park was great.  It has all contributed to a memorable week.  Use of the canoe by everyone was great.  Thank you. Nine of the family here aged 21 to 90.  Grandchildren arrived from far and wide, including New Zealand.  Daisy Chain is a comfortable, well equipped holiday home in a delightful setting.  Running, walking, swimming, canoeing and days out kept everyone happily occupied.  We had two good meals out at the Potting Shed at Crudwell.  The lakeside was a delightful place at all times of day.  Thank you for letting us share your oasis.  August 2019

We have had up to 10 people staying at Daisy Chain including children, adults and grandparents and it has suited all.  The kitchen is well equipped and the dishwasher saved all the washing up.  The children have loved the range of clean and good condition toys.  The view is amazing.  We saw a range of wildlife from birds to deer.  We had a mixture of sun and rain but it didn’t stop us from going for walks and swimming.  Thank you for a lovely homely relaxed place to stay. We had a family get together in mid-March and Daisy Chain proved to be the ideal location for us. The place was spotlessly clean and everything we required was supplied right down to the toys for the two young children who were well entertained by what they found. Our view over the lake was exceptional and as we had amazing weather for our stay we spent some time admiring it from the balcony. The sitting room and kitchen were ideal for a large group and the cooking facilities were spot on. Everyone agreed the bathrooms were well appointed with lovely powerful showers. The beds were also comfortable and cosy.

 The house is set in a beautifully kept peaceful private estate with great amenities including a gym, swimming pools and a very good restaurant serving a range of well cooked food.

 We would thoroughly recommend Daisy Chain to anyone wanting a relaxed time away and especially for, as in our case, a family get together as all ages are catered for at this idyllic property.  March 2019

We had a fabulous family weekend at Daisy Chain despite the inclement December weather. It was the perfect house for three generations to share and had everything needed for babies and children which really saved on the packing. The children absolutely loved the pool which was surprisingly uncrowded and the adults made use of the spa facilities on site. The views are amazing- there’s something very therapeutic about looking out on water and seeing the wildlife constantly at work. All in all a perfect location for a get together. December 2018

We all so much enjoyed our stay and were really impressed with all the all inclusive facilities and the attention to detail in all respects.  Everything was first class and of the best quality and allowed us to fully relax to maximise our stay and not want for anything.   It was a credit to a lot of hard work and preparation.  As adults we were quite at home as soon as we arrived and with two small children the amount of toys, games and books for them to enjoy was really good.  Whilst we were there we were able to go on many walks around the lakes, to play tennis, to use the canoe and the two swimming pools!  We BBQ’d also.   It was all very relaxing.  We will certainly be back again sometime in the future and will also recommend this experience to our many friends.  September 2018

We held a family reunion at Daisy Chain to celebrate our 70th birthdays. It isn’t easy for us to get the whole family together as we have sons in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur but this time it worked brilliantly. The house is the best equipped holiday home that we have ever stayed in with toys for the little ones and games and videos for the big ones. The weather wasn’t perfect but we managed 2 barbeques and hired some stand up paddleboards which provided a lot of entertainment. We also made good use of the generous supply of wine glasses! I can thoroughly recommend this house for a family get together. May 2018

We had a lovely week at Daisy Chain: the accomodation was wonderful and ideally suited the three generations staying. It was so well equipped for families with the stair gates keeping them all safe and the children loved playing with the happyland village and the little table and chairs. The overcast weather did not put a dampner on the holiday as the house was such a delight (we certainly used the wellie stand) however we did have two glorious sunrises and the sun came out on our penultimate day. It was great to use the pool and we got out on the lake a few times (we had also brought with us 2 Kayaks). We have stayed in 4 different properties as the family has grown but this was by far the best equipped accommodation. April 2018

We had a fantastic time at Daisy Chain: what an amazing place. We have already been recommending it to friends! The views are stunning and and my 12 year old niece loved chilling in her room watching the ducks and birds on the lake. We hadn’t realised how many photo’s she had taken! There is so much to see and do on the Lower Mill Estate and surrounding area, we wished we could have stayed longer! The house is so well equipped, you have thought of everything! The kitchen is so well equipped and we loved having family meals around the huge table. We spent the evenings playing board games and my Mum enjoyed the jigsaws! Had a wonderful week at Daisy Chain over half term. The house is located on a beautiful private estate with access to a small shop, restaurant and lovely spa. The location allows for lots of travelling across the Cotswolds, so is great in terms of location. The house itself has to be the most well equipped house we have ever stayed in. Literally everything you could think of. Excellent for families and large groups. Contact with the owners was really good and the information shared beforehand was hugely helpful in terms of planning what to bring. We organised an online food shop to be delivered to the property, which also worked really well. Overall, would highly recommend and we will definitely look to rebook in the future. February 2018

We stayed in the Daisy Chain to celebrate a grandparents birthday. We were all wowed by the amazing view as we walked into the property. Such a beautiful location and the most well equipped house I have stayed in. The children were kept entertained by the numerous toys, games and dvds on a wet afternoon. Ideal for families with young children as absolutely everything you can think of that you need is there for you to use and beautiful surroundings to explore. Three Generations, six adults and two tiny children, Anna three and William nine months enjoyed a lovely holiday in this beautiful house that contained everything we could wish for. We were lucky with the weather, we didn’t get wet except for Grandma (75) who managed to fall in the lake while getting into the canoe, but gained real Brownie points from daughter and daughter-in-law for carrying on regardless. The children loved the wonderful toys and books. Five of us really enjoyed the Miss Mouse Trail and three enjoyed the Beaver Hunt. What a wonderful week! This is not just a house, it is an extremely comfortable home where we have all been able to unwind and relax. 

 The view is simply stunning, and the house is situated perfectly for the amenities available. Canoeing, tennis, walking, swimming everyday meant that the children (from 8-20!) were never bored.  In the house we rarely found the need for the television (we had two film nights) as reading, playing board games and simply chatting whilst taking in the beautiful view was all that was needed. The children particularly enjoyed their late evening hot chocolates sitting on the balcony.

 Launching the canoe was much easier than we expected, and the close proximity to the house meant our teens could amuse themselves whilst we watched from the balcony.

 Our final evening presented us with a lasting memory of a stunning double  rainbow which not only reflected in the lagoon but ended a couple of hundred metres from Daisy Chain. This house truly is the  we had hoped for.  August 2017

I just wanted to start off with thank you for the lovely chocolates and Easter egg hunt box for the children. It was a pleasant surprise on arrival. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our Daisy Chain holiday and would not hesitate to recommend it. This property is very well equipped and Lower Mill Estate has lots for children and adults to do. I personally enjoyed going to the Art Spa every morning for a swim during the adult only times and then later taking the children for a dip too. They have just finished refurbishing the spa which looks amazing and has excellent facilities. 
The whole family 5 Adults 2 teenagers and one 9 year old had an amazing time out in the canoe on Somerford Lagoon so much so we did it a couple of times along with tennis and bike rides and walks around the estate. On Easter Sunday we had an egg hunt which the children loved hunting inside and out for choccy eggs.  It is a great place for hiding eggs with such a large property. Thanks Again. April 2017

We cannot speak highly enough of our stay at Daisy Chain.  There were 4 of us, including grandmother and a toddler and all generations had enough room in the property to have their own space. Waking up to the views of the lake each morning was definitely a highlight – it is even more scenic than in the photos!

The house was extremely well kitted out for our highly active toddler – a monitor, plenty of toddler cutlery and beakers, high chairs – everything seemed to be taken care of. The toys were excellent and kept our son very busy. We also visited the Spa and had some treatments and in February, had the pool all to ourselves which was lovely.

We spent a few hours walking on the nature trails in the surrounding area and even had a couple of days of sunshine to really make the most of this beautiful nature spot.

A group of 6 of us (4 adults and 2 toddlers) spent a week in Daisy Chain and had a great holiday. The estate was well equipped for all our needs with the kids enjoying the pools (indoor and out) and playgrounds while we enjoyed the restaurant right next to the playground – perfect for the morning coffee. As for the house, it was well equipped with all we needed. I am very picky about bringing all the bits and bobs for our two year old (almost obsessive) but Daisy Chain had everything, from the cots and high chairs to the unexpected bonuses of baby carriers and a large selection of books. The toy were great – a whole press full of houses, cars, farms, garages etc – after every nap a new toy appeared courtesy of the ‘house elves’ and the 2 boys were amazed!
Fantastic views over the lake greeted us each morning and we used the canoe provided (plus all the life jackets) to explore said lake, and used the BBQ on sunny days and the ducks and swans would come up to see what was happening. Day trips to attractions in the Cotswolds were easy as the most we had to drive to anything was 40 minutes.
Being able of have a pint in the local (20 mins walk) in the evening just topped it off (this also had a garden play area for the kids!) and then sit out on the balcony with a drink watching the sun go down over the lake after the kids went to bed was very peaceful.
So can’t recommend it enough.  July 2016

Daisy Chain is the best equipped and most comfortable holiday property we’ve stayed in. It is spacious and laid out over 3 floors so that the 3 generations holidaying could both be together or spend some time relaxing apart. It’s ideally located for trips to Cirencester, Bath, Bourton on the Water and other lovely parts of the Cotswolds. The Lower Mill Estate is quiet and very family oriented and we made good use of the spa. The owner was very helpful in responding to our questions. Would definitely recommend the house!  August 2016

Beautiful house, unbelievably well equipped. Felt a million miles away from the day to day drudge. Before we’d even finished the holiday I was figuring out in my mind how we could get back there again soon. A unique holiday experience. My daughter (14) remarked it was better than all the foreign holidays we have been on.  August 2016

We had an absolutely fabulous week at Daisy Chain. The setting was superb, something for everyone and the accommodation was excellent, definitely the best we have stayed in. Thank you for another great week at Daisy Chain, so well equipped for our family of 10 ranging from a baby of 9 months, boy of 5, girls of 7 and 8 as well as six adults. We went swimming every day in the lovely Spa, really enjoyed Miss Mouse’s Trail which kept the kids entertained on a 5K walk (wear wellingtons if it has been raining).  The dipping pool is a particular highlight.

We were disappointed not to get round to using the canoe.  All the kids went home much more confident in biking and swimming, all having had a very happy holiday. (Dawn photograph sent by guest) April 2016

We had a wonderful stay. Thank you. We have stayed at Lower Mill many times over the last 7 years and your house was equipped perfectly for our holiday. The views were beautiful and we were lucky one night to see from the balcony a vast gathering of starlings making incredible patterns over Somerford Lake, a real experience for the kids to see! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas 2015 at Daisy Chain. The house was well furnished, clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, including games and toys for my daughter, and a wonderful view of the lake. The estate is very pretty with the lovely lake, great walks and excellent facilities including the indoor and outdoor swimming pools which we used every day. Naomi couldn’t have been more helpful and even decorated the house for us with lovely Christmas decorations. We would certainly consider a return to the estate and to Daisy Chain in the future.

What a wonderful time we had at the Daisy Chain. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with equipment (we really enjoyed the coffee machine!), plenty of books to read, games to play and the most fantastic view across the lake.

So much thought has been given into ensuring that there is something for everyone in the house and we felt well looked after. Our 2 boys (5 & 7) were so excited there was a bunk bed, age appropriate games to play, DVD’s to watch and books to read, not to mention the canoe (that came with life-jackets) which was the highlight of their stay! They also swam in pool, went to the playground and met children of a similar age to play with. We went for a lovely walk around the lakes following a treasure trail set up to entice the kids round – great fun for all ages!

Cotswold Water Park is in a perfect location to visit all the beautiful towns and villages around in the area (and there are many!). There are nice pubs nearby, cream teas to enjoy, pretty walks around the country-side and so much more besides. Daisy Chain was a fantastic base.

I cannot rate Daisy Chain highly enough. I must mention Naomi who owns Daisy Chain and with whom we liaised with from Singapore. Her efficiency and helpfulness made everything so easy and smooth. Nothing was a problem for her and it made our stay so much better as a result. Thanks Naomi. July 2015

We had an absolutely wonderful time thank you. Everything was superb and the house was so well kitted out for the four under 2.5 year olds we had between us!  All in all we really enjoyed the lake, the pools, the playgrounds and the setting but just being in the house with all those great toys for the kids and the lovely open living space was fun and relaxing enough. When we checked into this gem each one of our family of 9 had a smile on our faces. I’m a perfectionist, so I really appreciate when I encounter someone who also takes equal pride and pains in achieving high standards. Daisy Chain is truly a superbly equipped, well maintained property and we would highly recommend it to anybody wanting to take a holiday in this beautiful part of England. The owners obviously seem to be themselves using the property occasionally, and that probably explains why it seems immaculately served to visiting guests. The shared heated pool, steam, sauna & gym were icing on the cake and we enjoyed using the facilities, which I must say were maintained to very high standards with a very friendly staff making us feel comfortable. The location of the property overlooking the lake is just breathtaking. We did not have small children with us, but we did see that the property had enough to engage the young ones too. Initially we did find the heating a little cold for our liking and made a quick phone call to the owner Naomi (who lives in another town). She immediately responded by turning up the heating from her location. One car could be parked at the property and another in the spill over parking 2 minutes away. Wished we had stayed longer. Would not even blink once before staying there again in the near future. These are 5 deserving stars I would gladly give away anytime. May 2015

We all  had a wonderful weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  You really  have thought of everything to make it feel like home from home, I could not find anything to fault the house, the location is stunning, in fact I really did not want to leave!!

Daisy Chain could not be better located with breathtaking views over the lake. The property is furnished to a high standard and the attention to detail is such that it feels like ‘home from home’. It is off season but it was so quiet and tranquil and provided the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. We did take short trips to Cirencester and Gloucester but really made the most of spending time in the company of our families and taking walks around the estate. We are most definitely looking to come back again in the future.

Everyone enjoyed the Astro Turf football pitch and tennis.  We also went swimming every day. We went into Gloucester and visited the Cathedral.  The kids enjoyed the Whispering Corridors and seeing the Cloisters which is in the Harry Potter film.  We went trout fishing which was great fun – caught our tea.  A lovely meal was had in the Baker’s Arms.  Everything was spot on – lovely holiday.  We shall come again.

We stayed here for my Mum’s 60th Birthday and it was marvellous. The views are stunning, the house is perfect (rooms on different levels so you can have your own space and more facilities than you could hope for). Very well kitted out for children and adults too. We had lots of fun playing board games and had a wonderfully large dinner table which we all had a lovely meal round. The lady who we booked through was very helpful and has great attention to detail to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Being able to use the spa and pool free of charge was amazing as it is a stunning spa, with a black tile lined pool and lovely steam room. It is also worth pointing out that it is extremely close to the cottage (literally a few minutes walk) and so it was great to get up and have an early morning swim without too much hassle. We will be returning as everyone said it was one of the best weekends we have had as a family. Thanks Naomi 🙂

We were 2 families staying for the week over Christmas 2013, we had 4 adults and 4 kids aged 4, 3, 2 and 11 months. The layout of the house worked really well with one family using the bedrooms downstairs and the other upstairs. The house was incredibly well stocked for our needs. The kitchen had a lot of pots, pans, plates and roasting trays (particularly important for our Christmas lunch) and a huge selection of kids plates and cutlery. We really didn’t miss anything, and the oven was big enough for our 5kg turkey! The toys and books for the kids were great, and having the cot, high chair and booster seats was so handy. The location was great, very easy to get to from London, and close to Swindon and Cirencester. We used the indoor pool at the spa a lot, so handy to be able to use that, and I was impressed at how well stocked the cafe/shop was. We managed to do a few walks to local pubs, some very close by that the kids were able to walk to, and having the kids backpack to carry the baby in was so useful We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it for families with small kids.

We were a mixed age group and both the property and facilities of Lower Mill estate and spa gave us all plenty of things to keep us occupied. Daisy Chain was gorgeous, well maintained & had everything we could want for a relaxing break. I would have been happy to sit and look at the lake view all day. There was plenty of things to do and we took the canoe out on to the lake & there were plenty of toys provided by the owners to keep the children happy. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough room to spread out and not feel cramped in any way. The surrounding area of Lower Mill provides a lot of pretty Cotswold village charm if you want to venture further afield. There is also the Cotswold water park with a little man made beach within 5 minutes drive and all the main supermarkets about 20 mins away in Cirencester which helpfully all deliver directly to the estate. We stayed for a long weekend and really wish we’d been able to stay longer and will definitely be returning.

We had a beautiful, relaxing and happy little break at Daisy Chain. Thank you so much. I’m so used to feeling tense on holidays with the kids so I didn’t really go with any expectations but when we got there it was just so perfect, everyone was in such a good mood! It was so refreshing to stay in an area and your home that clearly is designed for families with young ones, but also grown up and tasteful for us once they are asleep!! I think it was the first time we didnt come home and say ” we need another holiday to get over that one!” Wish we had stayed longer but will do next year and would recommend Daisy Chain to all our friends and family.

With an age range of 2 – 66 years there was something for everyone. Daisy Chain was immaculate, well equipped, comfortably furnished and spacious. Ideal for a family party of ten that included four children who needed room to play and for a grandad who wanted peace to read the paper. Our bedrooms looked out on to the lake and to see the sun rising in the morning was a joy and immediately gave a good start to the day. There was surprisingly plenty to do from a swim in the outdoor pool, followed by a swim in the indoor pool, a play area for the children, long or short walks or a trip into Cirencester. If the ladies wanted some ‘me time’ there was always the Spa or even the Gym for the fit ones amongst us. It was such an ‘easy’ place to stay, no stress, no rush, we will definitely go back.

This was a fantastic venue for a weekend break with extended family. The house was very well equipped, especially for travelling with young children. They really have thought of everything and the booking process was very easy. The owners specify what was supplied, which includes many things often not included with a holiday home (handwash, dishwasher tablets etc), which was very helpful. The spa was lovely, we really enjoyed the outdoor pool which was very warm and made swimming a pleasure even in late march! The views of the lake from the house are beautiful.

Nine of us, from two to sixty-seven, spent a very enjoyable week at this excellent property on the edge of the lake. The boys (2, 4 and 6) had a ball: swimming every day, either at the Spa or at the other outdoor pool, playing football at the footie park or just chilling out at the house which has a great mix of toys, books and games. The adults also had a very relaxing time in a unique environment where other residents were equally relaxed. Recommend an online order for food and drinks as all the major supermarkets deliver to the door. Our second time at Lower Mill and the overwhelming consensus is that we go back again next year!

We stayed at Daisy Chain as a family to celebrate our sons 21st birthday and everyone had a brilliant weekend. Naomi couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating throughout the whole booking process. The house was lovely, clean,bright and airy – and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could have needed, including beautiful serving dishes for our meals. The two youngest members of the group were delighted with the huge selection of toys to play with and the views from the house out onto the lakes were amazing. Daisy Chain is well placed on Lower Mill, as it is a very short walk to both the spa and the general store. The Spa is really luxurious with heated indoor and outdoor pools.
