Please find below our most frequently asked questions. If you can’t find the answers you’re looking for please don’t hesitate to contact us using the contact form on this page.

Do you have a barbecue?
Yes! We have a barbecue for Daisy Chain and guests are already enjoying barbecuing on the lakeside.  Enjoy sitting by the lake, canoeing and then coming to shore for freshly barbecued food (you could even catch your own supper from the lake!)

Are children allowed in the Spa?
Yes – the Spa is very family friendly and children are most welcome. We will send you a list of Spa opening times with your information pack.

Where is the nearest Supermarket?
The Lower Mill Estate is located 5 miles south of Cirencester. 10 – 15 minutes drive away in Cirencester you will find a large Tesco and Waitrose – both with their own parking.

Can I have my groceries delivered?
Yes, all the major supermarkets will deliver onto the estate.  We recommend you book a delivery for the evening that you arrive.  If you are staying for a week you might also like to book another delivery later on in your stay to top up on supplies.  You’ll build up a good appetite with all the exercise you will be doing!

Where is the nearest place to eat?
There is an onsite eatery, Ballihoo,  on the Lower Mill Estate for the exclusive use of residents and guests.  The Baker’s Arms Pub is a 20 minute walk away in the village of Somerford Keynes.  It is family friendly and often visited by guests.

Do you have a coffee machine?
Yes, there is a Tassimo coffee machine available for you to use.  We suggest you add some tassimo coffee pods to your grocery order.

Where will I be able to park?
There is one allocated parking space outside Daisy Chain and then an overflow carpark 2 minutes walk away.

Can I bring my canoe?
Yes, of course.  We have a Canadian Canoe, paddles and life jackets available for you to use, but you are most welcome to bring your own canoe too.  It can be launched on the lake 50 metres from Daisy Chain, and then you can store it outside Daisy Chain when it is not in use.

How far is it to the beach?
Whilst Daisy Chain is a long way from the coast,  it is less than a mile from the UK’s largest inland beach which comes complete with sand, boat hire, wibit aquaventure and crazy golf.

Do I need a car?
Daisy Chain is a 10 minute taxi ride from Kemble Station which has direct links to London Paddington Station.  There is so much to do on the Lower Mill Estate that it is easy to spend a week at Daisy Chain without needing to use a car.

Can I bring a small, well behaved, non-moulting dog?
Daisy Chain is set up to be very family friendly and we have lots of very young guests so unfortunately we do not accept pets.

Can we stay for 2 nights at the weekend?
Yes of course, but you will need to book 3 nights  – this ensures that you have the use of Daisy Chain for the whole of the weekend.

Is there a shopping outlet nearby?
Yes, in Swindon, about 20 minutes away there is a shopping outlet with many well known brands selling discounted goods.  Some of our guests stop off on the way home to buy new school shoes from Clarks.

Do you provide wood for the wood burning stove?
Some wood is provided to start you off.  If you need some more you can top up at the General Store on the estate.
