Westonbirt, the National Arboretum is world famous for the autumnal colour explosion from its Japanese maples. The arboretum is home to the UK's national collection of Japanese maples which produce a fiery display of orange and red. Wherever you go in the arboretum the amazing autumnal colours are superb. Batsford Arboretum hold an annual 'Autumn Colour Spectacular' from Saturday 4th October – Wednesday 19th November. The most impressive colours in the arboretum come from the maples and cherries which light up with shades from pink to yellow. The liquidamber tree with it's multicoloured leaves varying from deep purple to pale gold is another must see.
