Excitement is mounting for the Royal International Air Tatoo at RAF Fairford that starts tomorrow. During the week a range of aircraft have been flying in preparation for this amazing air show. The Red Arrows will of course be displaying, the Vulcan will be making its last appearance at the show and numerous other military and historic aircraft will be taking to the skies. It promises to be a spectacular year for the Royal International Air Tatoo.
Guests staying at Daisy Chain will be able to sit on the balcony and see the action in the distance! This photo was sent to us by a guest last year when he watched the Red Arrows displaying. I love the seagull joining in!
It has just been confirmed that one of the world's most iconic aircraft, the Vulcan, will be taking part in this year's Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. Vulcan XH558 is the only flying example of this large military aircraft.
'Spirit of Great Britain' will fly into RAF Fairford on Friday 17th July for a special 'Pit Experience Day' which will give visitiors close access to the aircraft and the opportunity to meet members of the Vulcan to the Sky team.
The Vulcan will then perform flying displays on Saturday and Sunday. The Air Tattoo promises to be an outstanding spectacle of aviation with the theme 'Securing the Skies – Past, Present and Future'
