Over the next two days, Cirencester Museum will be holding a two day festival celebrating Roman Food. There will be local food stalls providing a taste of the foods that could once be found in Roman towns. Snail and honey, white wine and fresh herbs, olive oil and fish sauce will all be available. there will also be specialist talks exploring the evidence for food in archaeology and actors will be on hand to bring Roman history to life.
